Default Has anyone painted their own front lip?

Hey i remember seeing someone who painted their own front lip...i think it was on a silver 350z.

Has anyone done this and how did they do it?

If you have no experience with doing it I would save the time and effort and take it to a paint shop.

I agree with that, even if you have the tools which most dont, you probably wont have the skills to do it well. Drop the cash on the professionals, its not that much for something like this.

Dont understand you ppl, paint it yourself, if it comes out good, awesome you can paint more and get more exp. if its bad, u can just sand it back down and have a pro paint it

the reason why i wanted to paint it was because the fact that its gonna be a on a daily driven car and most likely will be chipped up and whatnot...so i didnt want to spend like 200 bucks to get it painted. ALso, I saw a post on her awhile back of someone painting their own lip with the stuff from paintscratch i think and it turned out really good.

more power to you if you do it, I guess I really dont know how hard it would be since I havent looked into it.

thanks, i might end up trying it...i have painted interior stuff before and it has turned out good, just never took on a lip.
