Painting Door handles?!?!
the paint thats on them needs to be stripped, and then it needs to be painted properly, including clear coat, in a form that can flex without cracking. otherwise it will not wear properly, the paint will come off on your fingers ect.
if you do it right and spend the cash, it could be good...
if you pull the handle off and whip out a can of spray paint, expect to get what you pay for.

I had my door handles painted on my SB and love it!!!! Been like that for nearly 2 months with no problems at all. I don't know what brand of paint it was but it was base clear.
Sorry I don't have a digicam but maybe soon I can get a friend to take some pics and send them to me!

All personal opinion. It has always been my least favorite external feature. I can live with it, or I wouldn't have bought the car

Glad you like them, some of us don't.
yup, I personally like them, even on my own black Z, but I know others dont. when a hot girl walked past my car and said "wow, I really like those handles" that was enough for me.
plus, Ive yet to see any handles painted, but I look at regular painted handles on like my dads black pontiac, they get so scratched up from constant touching... looks aweful IMO, thats what Im worried about.

My black GTP handles are in excellent shape, after 89K miles. There are no obvious scratches. I saw pics of a blue 350Z on another board a couple of months ago with painted handles, and they looked pretty decent. The pics weren't that good, though (no good angles).
Im planning to do that to my Super Black also but not too sure how it would look but im planning to paint it shiny...may be metalic black or something.
i shaved of the handles in photoshop...wish i could show you guys but dont know how to attach pix w/ posts. it looks pretty cool too.

"Distinguishing Feature"
It's like doing a nose job on your car. You're changing up something that is a feature of the car that makes it different from everyone else. So out of desperation to look like the rest of the herd, you're going to make an enhancement, but usually, just like with a nose job, unless you get it JUST right and done by a pro, it probably won't look quite right, everyone will notice, and in the end will look worse than it did originally. However, in your head, you'll think it looks great and you're better off, while everyone else ponders the mistake you made.
