Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately there is nothing in the top of the shift lever to fasten to, it's a solid metal shaft.

ok ezee,

here are the parts:

adapter, screw, and shift ****

screw the adapter on the shifter, put the **** on, and put ther screw in to hold the shift **** in place.

Thanks, I've seen that picture. The stock shift **** doesn't require a screw through the top, that's why I'm puzzled. Don't see why this one would need an adapter, seems like it should screw on just like the stock ****, screw it down tight, you're done.

i like it, but i think it would look better if there was more aluminum trim in the car to match, the **** itself is sweet, but looks sorta out of place in a car with all dark interior.

The reason why you need a screw adapter is because the shift **** does not screw onto the shifter. The adapter gets screwed on, the shifter sits on top, and then you screw the screw in to hold it there. Unfortunately, Nismo had taken the hard route for this, but hey, that's them. You can always get this shifter:



Much cheaper too.
