Default Fading in cloth seats

Did a search and couldnt find anything on this subject. My drivers seat has a small area which looks like it is faded? It would be approximately where my right butt cheek would be...I tried to clean it thinking it was a spot or something and nothing has helped. Has anyone else had this? My car is a 06 with only 3800 miles on it so as you can see there should not be a wear issue here.

Its a pretty common issue with the cloth seats. Most of the time it is where you get into the car. Most of us kinda slide in from the side. It wears the side of the seat out. You might try and take it to the dealer and ***** about it. They might do something for you. The best bet would be to get some aftermarket seat covers. Either leather or neoprene. Protect those seats.

Do you carry a wallet?
Left or right rear pocket?

Make sure the seat covers allow the airbags to deploy, the bags may just save you.

I believe the majority reporting fading of fabric seats in the Z see this in the side bolster of the driver seat ("port" side). The consensus is that areas exposed to friction on the Z's fabric seats tend to wear prematurely and also quickly fade. There is a TSB describing the problem.

Your "fabric fading report" is in an atypical area, but that may be due to something you do that differs from the typical driver. Maybe an aberration?
