hello everyone, i have recently bought my 06 350z Grand Touring Ed and im trying to swith the 06 HID headlights to regular halogen BLACk projector headlights and put in the 30k HID system lighting that i just bought from JAPAN.... i dont really know what to do with the wiring... the stock HID had that connector that pluged in straight to the stock HID headlight and made everything work, but when i try to put my new headlights which are not HID they came with a connector to simular to the HID one but not the same and i cant get that one connector running from the battery to go into the new headlight set up.... i dont k now if they sell some adapter or some other way i can solve this problem ... ill post pics of the connector im talking about.... BUT if anyone have done this before any help would be GREATLY Appreciate it! thank you all!

 

here is picture of the outlet that is on the HID headlight and the thing that runs from the bettery... i need the holegen one, it has only 6 outlets not 8... =/

 

Uh, I think you just might be in a class all yourself on that one. 30K bulbs??? Ummm, ok... not sure I've ever even heard of that, but one thing's for sure: you're switching from the best possible lighting to the worst. I hope you don't actually plan on driving at night with these. To each his own, though; good luck with the wiring. I'm sure someone can clear that up for you. You wouldn't wanna sell me your '06 headlights for a good price while you're at it, would you?

 

^^^ ahh i probably will be getting rid of these 06 if i find a way to put these other ones on.... but yeah 30k i got them from Japan... =/ ... the max i could find in US is 12k... which i had on my 04 celica... but yeah i found these and had to go for them!!.....

 

You do realize that the further up in kelvin temperature you go, the worse they will actually function right? They will be useless when trying to drive in the rain. They might look ok though.

I personally have never seen 30k State side either. Only overseas, especially in China.

 

I thought I've tried to explain that to you already, that those lights are going to be dim as hell and it's not a good idea. The most you want to mess with is probably 6-8k, anything higher than that is pretty much useless. And I told you that your 06 lights has 7 connections, and the 04 has only 6...did you forget all that? I remembered typing a long PM to try to help you, but it seems like not only you didn't even bother reading the whole thing, you went out and wasted money on something that's useless....sigh

30k? o.O Wouldn't you just fall asleep right after you turned on your headlights hah...

30k is probably close to blackish purple...which would be ugly...
