hopefully you looked into it. else it'll be just as if you put in a non-airbagged steering wheel.
You're right. I havent found the solution, but Im still looking.

Red face

NISMO Z-tune Steering wheel w/ airbag

maybe a blonde moment here, but this wheel, is it smaller than the stock wheel or the same size? that would help in the decision making process. TIA.

I found that a 2 ohm resistor when plugged into the airbag connector tricks the computer into sensing an airbag. Since there is aconnector plugged into the airbag, the bag will work. I hooked up a 2 ohm resistor and no airbag lights were triggered. LOVE the new steering wheel.

yes. we know that a 2ohm resistor fools the system in thinking that a non-deployed airbag is still in-line, however i'm just thinking, when the computer is sending the signal to fire, especially for the steering wheel, they're expecting infinite resistance (open circuit) as the final signal. hopefully its in series and once one bag goes. that'll be sufficient. what did the dealer say, or who installed it for you?

Uh, don't be so sure that your airbag will work right. US airbags are supposed to be dual level actuation - they will blow as designed , or will blow at a lesser force at slower speeds. That is why the US bag has two connectors - each for the different inputs as determined by the onboard sensors. The JDM airbag with a single connector is designed to blow full-tilt only. In a lower speed situation, as determined by the onboard computer, your signal to the disabled connector will mean no airbag deployment at all.

Forgive me for reviving such an old thread, but I have to take the chance.
Can you still get your hands on any of these airbag equipped steering wheels?
Still have one lying around, that you'd be willing to part with for what you deem the right price?
