Default Interior rattling

I noticed I'm getting some sort of rattling or squeeking from the back inside my car...it almost sounds like it's coming from the rear strut tower bar...have any of you noticed this too in your cars??? Please advise what you did to fix.

THanks,

Mine is def a rattle and it's gotta be coming from the strut bar or the plastic molding around it...I wish there was a cool rear strut bar that you could replace with that wasn't so labor intensive on getting rid of all that cumbersome plastic...

The buzzing stops when the car stops i'm starting to think i have a brain tumor like my old man what to do what to do? I'm almost to the point of taking off my headliner to see WTH is rattling! maybe a screw that broke off?

i think most people have that problem with the hatch rattling noise. and the only people that really resolved it had a friend drove the car around while the owner got into the hatch and searched for the rattle. It'd be hard to pin-point the source of the rattle otherwise. some say it's the trunk door latch, which i looked into, but the rattle is still there. i took out most of the loose spare tire tools, and the rattle is still there.

I had some squeaking noise in my rear portion of the car once, and for 3 weeks it was driving me nuts, and I could not figure it out, but then I checked the spare tire, and the **** that screws on to keep the tire in place was loose, check to see if that is the problem, I tightened it, but it just came loose again and squeaked again, so I just took the **** off and put it to the side, since then, squeak free =)

Welcome to Z ownership. It wouldn't be without squeaks, rattles, and buzzing.

Similar problem. Mine is more of a clunking on bumpy roads. It sounds like the hatch isnt closed all the way. Had to come home with a piece or sheet rock in the back with the hatch left open and it still made the same noise so i dont think its the hatch. Suspention is stock. Took everything out of the back, including the tools and jack, but still the same noise. Has to be the suspension or upper strut bar I guess?? Anyone else with this? I have a V2 Nismo spoiler but I dont think its that. Also have the heavy duty hatch hydraulic lifts/struts as well.

usually it is the shroud that covers the 3rd brake light. I fixed this by purchasing some automotive foam tape from advance auto. (the super thick stuff) and applying it to the inside edge around the housing. Instantly fixed in about 5 minutes. f it is something else, you could always just take all the casings out of the trunk, line them with foam tape, and reinstall. may take an hour or 2. but would be worth it.
