Default exhaust hangers. and rear lip problem

hi,

i installed my exhaust not long ago. I just got my rear lip painted and want to install it.

The only problem is, the lip wont clear the exhaust tip. I have the X02 exhaust on.

There are 2 hangers on the passenger side, which 1 should i change to adjust the height? how should i go about doing this?

the obvious answer would be the hanger closest to the rear of the vehicle..

If it's just that one side that rubs, I'd try lowering both of them...

Unbolt the hangers and space them down with some washers. You may need longer bolts. Also have the mid-pipe hanger unbolted and the 3rd muffler hanger (if it's used with your system). Once the rear is spaced down properly, slide however many washers you need in the mid-pipe hanger bracket and snug it back up, then you'll need to source a longer rubber hanger for the 3rd muffler hanger (the one at the front of the muffler, passenger side), since that bracket can't be moved.

I used the method I posted to space down my Nismo exhaust b/c the tips were too close to my Veilside V1 skirt. I found a longer rubber hanger for the front muffler mount at NAPA warehouse. Just had them look in their catalog and start pulling ones of the same type that looked similar in the pics until I found the right one. Helps if you go when they aren't busy and you get a helpful guy behind the counter.
