Exclamation Who want a Roof Overlay? (PICS)!

Anyone interested in a roof Overlay? Good alternative to painting your roof black. Just finished one for the G35 Coupe! I'm seeking a test car in the San Diego area that would be interested. Email me .

what is the stuff made of? UV rays kills the clear coat on the roof, i wonder will this stuff hold up in the rain and on sunny days. And like most sticky adhesive on paint, the clear would be messed up later if you tried taking the overlay off.

$70 shipped I'm in if I can convince my neighbor to put it on for free. Is there any risk of fcking up the paint underneath?

Paint can take more abuse than any type of overlay. I was wondering if this product is prone to water, UV rays, peeling, and what not. Since this peice is black, i was asking how does water and sun is going to affect it. Water spots are going to show up and also any type of flaws. Black paint with clear, however, can be polished back out to new. last thing i want is a overlay that is chipped and full of flaws that i can't do anything about.

The Vinyl I use is rated a 7 year lifespan, not saying it will last 7 years, but I do get emails from customers who've sported my stuff for 5 years now, telling me how well the vinyl has held up!

I'm going to Overlay my NSX so it will look like this:

before:

after:

Do any of your customers ever tell you the problems they do get though? Just curious. I know most of the stuff you sell aren't as big as this piece.

yes they do. You're right, this is the biggest piece I've made to date. The fact that I'm going through with putting the stuff on my roof and pillars says alot. If I thought it might do harm after removing it, I probably wouldnt go through with it. The key really, is to make sure you get ALL of the moisture out when applying the overlay. Trapped moisture might not be good in tye long run.
