Name this spoiler???
Anyone have any idea who makes this spoiler? I was browsing through 350Z's on ebay and found this one for sale. It had a spoiler on it that I have never seen. This matches my taste very much soo! Also, if you know where it can be purchased please let me know as well!
Thanks!
Thanks!

that is so weird... it looks like what the stock spoiler should have looked like. But I am sure it does not belong to any of the current line of body kits for the Z.
The thing that gets me, is that yes I like the spolier and many others that I have seen... but pretty much ALL of the spoliers out there make the car look LESS expensive when you really think about it. Pretty much... spoilers are more common on cars like the tiburon, celica, rsx etc. and less common on porches, ferraris, etc.

What a find...an Oldsmobile though! Damn and I really liked it.
I think we will see an OEM spoiler on the Z similar to this in a few years. My reasoning for this is based on the Z32. 90-93 models had a lip like spoiler, then the 94-96 models had a slightly raised spoiler but yet still simple and tasteful. I think that comes from the desires of the consumer to have just a little bit more flare while maintaining the non-rice factor. Which basically is what I am after as well.
Now I just need a manufacturer to make this spoiler specifically for the Z so I can get past the view of it on an Oldsmobile. I know I know, that's petty, but still.

However, you have to consider how round the back of the 350z is. To me, the spoiler looks "less expensive" when it's some wacky aftermarket spoiler that does not match the car's lines. Everyone is use to the Z generally without a spoiler because that was how the car was introduced. That OEM spoiler is as close as to NOT having a spoiler as you can get.
I'm sure as time goes by, more spoilers will be introduced that will fit the Z better...it will feel...not look..FEEEEELL more appropriate.
Imagine if the Audi TT never had that back spoiler or whale tale.whatever...UGh..too round like Beetle! IMHO hideous!
The majority of the higher end porsches have spoilers to back that a$$ up. Ferraris and Lambo's however...are moving towards not having a spoiler...but what is there to lack when the rare of those cars are extended back so far? It's not round like the porsche. Lets not forget the engines are placed back there too...so there is plenty of weight to keep that tale planted.
Common cars like Tiburon, RSx, and Celica have spoilers...but imagine how much cheaper they'd look without those spoilers. With exception to the RSX, (since it has that extended trunk) the spoiler is the ONLY thing that makes those cars look mean.
The Z itself is a mean car....I just want to accent it with something that is not as subtle as OEM but not as wild as veilside and nismo.
just another fools opinion =)
bests.
