as someone who has removed the rear bumper, thats complete and udder crap. no air would get in there, and based on the knowledge of pressure dynamics, if the air was caught, pressure would increase, and no more could enter. meaning its not causing any more drag.

the side one would only increase interior wind noise, and increase drag, as it would become trapped in there.

looks like crap too, could they have found a bigger POS to "demo" it with?

Im sure its "laser cut" I dont even think they laser cut metal.... wadd can check me on that, but I think metal is either cut with metal blades or water, not laser... except in movies of course. but Im not the metal man.

That is one of the ugliest, cheap @SS, Tack on pieces I've seen yet. Looks like it was cut with tin snips.

metal can definitely be laser cut.

water jets, plasma, and laser are pretty standard for fabricated metal pieces these days.

but laser cut or not, thats fugly!

Are you sure you're not confusing this with the one that goes on the front grille area of the Z?

If not, please take a photo and post it

Its called a "Dry Break" system and is exclusively for racing

They are used in racecars during pit stops (when you need to refuel at 4 gallons/second) to eliminate spillage.
