Default JP Type-N Body Kit Owners.......

A few questions....

1. How much lower then stock are the bumper, skirts and rear?

2. How is drivability? Scraping everywhere?

3. How much modification to the front bumper to fit APS FMIC?

4. Are you guys lowered? How much?

5. Any thing else I should know before purchasing this kit?

well I inly have the front bumper but here you go:

Im lowered 1" all around and I have to be carefull driving around but I havent scraped yet. and there will be some cutting involved to fit the intercooler. I have the TN kit and they had to cut to fit my intercooler, but anybody shop should have to hard a time. For how much lower then stock I dont really remember its been a while since I was using my stock bumper but I went from a INGS N-spec front which was way to low, to this and I love the drive ability of the bumper now.

but just my 2 cents

Its low. I'm lowered on stance coilovers maybe an inch and its still plenty low. I had to raise my car up cause at first I was dumped but it was too much of a pain to drive the car. You just gotta be really careful where you drive your car.

Andrew... You'll be happy with the Hotchkis Springs. Suggest to just invest into the TVS kit. Better bang for the buck buy.

If you have questions for Rickdog, just shoot him a PM and he'd reply you within a day.

I've heard the JP Type-N kit has some pretty bad fitment though. Nobody local had gotten the whole kit. One person got the front bumper and it has a lot of gaps.

I have the whole kit and it fits very nicely. I don't have on on problem with the front because im not lowered yet. So i couldn't tell you. But i'm also twin turbo. With the greddy kit so you do have to cut the bumper quite a bit. I acutally did it myself. I think i could of done on on better job if i knew what i know now. I'll snap on on few shots when i get home. Or tomorrow when theres light.

I'm happy to hear that the wheels have shipped. I TRULY appreciate everything that you've done for me. I'm saddened to hear that you canceled the Kic lugs but understand.

To the Kutsuju members,
I apologize to you as well. I'm happy to hear this situation was resolved.

LOL truly pathetic. I think i'm a celebrity? Riiiiiiiiight........ I apologize if I exude confidence...but lemme guess are you the guy that was nosy and pmd me a while back asking me questions about what i'm going to do to my car next etc and got your panties in a bunch when I didn't respond for one day with "Oh you must think you are too good?" in the pm title? Gimme a break man...You remind me of the average frustrated chumps that get all mad at girls if you don't get a response right away when it is YOU that approached them all wrong. I don't know you so why should I HAVE to respond to such a question let alone within one day as if you are my gf or something.

Exclamation

To the OP, just pm me next time and i'll do my best to answer your questions. Vo pm'd me about help for the ARC oil cooler and I messaged him back as fast as I could to because it was a genuine question and not being nosy unlike some people. I tend to lurk in the off-topic and so cal section so I didn't see this thread until a friend told me about the haters spouting off, so here goes.

1) Not sure because I never compared. I'm not too concerned about ride height sorry I couldn't provide this info. However, the front does provide more clearance than most aftermarket bumpers and lips. Reference taylor's post

2) Side skirts do sit pretty low so those will probably scrape underneath a bit, but I don't know how forgiving the roads are in your area. I make it around fine with 1" side skirt clearance, but keep in mind I lowered my car a lot.

3) Taylor can answer this, but for sure you will need to trim just like any bumper. I had to trim it a bit as well for the ARC oil cooler. It's fiberglass so not a big deal ANy competent body shop can do this no problem. We trimmed mine with a basic chisel and sandpaper hahaha (Ghetto! )

4) I'm lowered on the lowest setting in the rear with JIC FLT-A2's and the front i'm not sure...I just lowered it to my taste and never took measurements.

5) Things to note. It's hit or miss with the front bumper. It fits pretty snug, but usually the driver side headlight area needs some glass work to make it fit perfect. The side skirts also need a bit of extra glass or bondo on the top sections near the front fender and the rear quarter panels, but it is millimeters so it just depends how picky you are. The rear fits very nicely. If you search pics of my car with it on...we basically just prepped it, painted it, and installed without any glasswork so you can see what I am talking about. If you want absolute perfection it will need some minor work, but since it is fiberglass it is cake

I hope that helped in your purchase decision a bit.

^^^??? Mine fits great the bodyshop had to do its thing but they said it wasn't that bad at all. I think this bumper fits better then my OEM bumper fit.
