Exclamation steering wheel!

i cant get mine off!!! ahhhhh!!!!!! anyone know where i can buy a t30 torx bit at? autozone says they dont carry 1 and i dont feel like paying the stealership a kidney to take off my steering wheel.

Do you have any specialty tool shops around you? We have a place called Marshall's Hardware (which is an Ace Hardware shop). They have every size shape etc of tool.

I drilled those motherf*ckers out! lol

but seriously, I looked all over locally for a bit that would fit them to no avail. Frustration got the better of me, and I took the drill to 'em. Alls well that ends well.

im thinking of just drilling them out lol its incredibly frustrating. what did you fill the hole with so i know what i can use when i get pissed this weekend and drill em out lol.

What hole? I just drilled into the heads of those two torx bolts on the bottom of the wheel until the heads busted loose from the shafts. Then I twisted the shafts out with some vicegrips. This is all from memory a long time ago but I think thats how I did it.

I assume you're switching to an aftermarket wheel and hub, right?

My kit came with the tamperproof torx bit.. along with the necessary 2 air bag resistors...

I swear.. buying it from adam@Z1 was the best thing I ever did.. problem free install

I think i saw a tamperproof torx kit at Home Depot.. good luck!

thankx. im just switching to a new OEM wheel because my leather was fading really bad. this stupid bit is going 2 drive me insane but ill check home depot again later today. thx again everyone

I bought my torx tool set from pep boys, it cost me like $12.99. Damn tamper proof bolts!!!! lol
