Default Need Advice: Smoking Taillights?

Hello guys, I am new to this forum, and I have a 2007 Pike's Peak 350z. I have not had this car for that long. Okay, straight to the point, I want to smoke the taillights, I have tried the online, tint cover kit, and failed miserably. So I did some research on google, and came across an article, with a video, on smoking your taillights, with the VHT Nite-Shade spray. I received my spray today (ordered online), but now I am having second thoughts about using the spray, because from what I've heard, the spray is permanent. I think it will look great on my car, but I do not know what to do anymore. Please someone give me advice, I will appreciate it.

If you tell me to use the spray, please tell me whether it will look good completely smoked out, or light.

Thank you and I appreciate it for your guys' help!

I would do it and then later on down the rooad i would just buy new tail lights, a little pricey but i think it would be worth it.

light tint all the way.

not a fan of pitch black.

OR

leave the tail light red, and do a light tint on the reverse lights
