Default dealership says 06+ headlights wont work!!??

since i can't seem to find 06+ headlights or tailights i have resorted to the dealership. The problem is one dealership said that the just the assembly of the 06 headlights will not work on my 05 WITH HID! Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought it was just plug and play. Is there something else i need to purchase other than the assembly? He mentioned a computer?? WTF?

so i called another nissan dealership in town and the guy wouldn't give me a price on them untill i gave him my vin# which he looked up and saw that i have an 05..he also said it would not work. Either i'm terribly mistaken or they are complete f'n idiots!

someone please clarify the process and needs of me using the 06 headlights on my Z!

it's the later.

HIDs are "plug and play" for all years. BTW a set on Ebay will set you back @ $650

Sorry to say, but those people at the dealerships were a bunch of idiots. 06 head lights are plug and play, directly into the 03-05 hid equipped Z's. Just buy one and install it yourself

Some dealerships are not so bright. They are around $1200 @ most dealerships.

alot of people in the parts dept at many dealerships have no clue to what they're selling... many they hate their job, so they'll just say no in hopes that you'll leave them alone....

you cant really blame them in all honesty - they are not going to be interested in recommending parts that are not shown in the system to convert over, and they are certainly not going to want to sell $1400 headlights unless they know for sure

we have the heads and tails in stock:

I've done the swap to my own car as have many here - there is 1 wire you will need to cut on each turn signal bulb (otherwise it stays illuminated all the time), and 1 plug on the tail lights that wont get connected when you put the 06 ones in (just wire tape it and tuck it away)

it doesnt go anyway, it stays in your old headlights.

the 06 are a dual HID, and the HID bulbs/ballasts are included
