Default Help with Seibon TS CF Hood

Anyone with this hood hae any issues with the latch? It seems liek mine isn't locking. Or is there a method to install it that I don't know about. I do have a 5/16 MD spacer, but I have removed the Greddy strut bar to see if it was clerance issues. But even without teh bar, the hood is just not closing properly . Imma be up all night so please send me INFO!!!

I have had problems with the same hood as you. I believe the best thing you could do is to cut the latch off and go with hood pins.

Mine would only lock if I slammed the hood hard, and you really dont want to do that as you will start developing cracks near the latch area. I only did it out of frustration.

Even if it did latch, I would buy hood pins for your own safety.

I don't know if you've played around with the latch or not. You can loosen up the bolts of the latch and move it up or down so it can fits/latches correctly.

Yep, try adjusting your latch catch first. Then go from there.

Do you by any chance have a after-market cooling plate that sits between the front bumper and the hood?

If so, remove it and see if the latch will lock in place now.

I am about to kill myself. I'm tempted to completely remove teh latch cause it's simply too low to lock completely. There is no way for me to raise teh hieght of teh latch without losing integrety. I've tried everything people have suggested so far, so anymore help would be awesome.

+1 A few bolts, move up, tighten and try to latch down.

and watch to make sure the vents aren't hitting anything under the hood. I had the same problem for months until I realized that one of my aftermarket parts was hitting a vent the whole time.
