Default Genuine Nissan Single DIN Fascia

Hi All,

Greetings from the UK!

I want to remove my JDM Bose Stereo in my FairladyZ and fit a single DIN sat nav/DVD/CD head unit into the dash.

No one in the UK seems to be able to help me with this so thought I would come on here and see if anyone can help.

So, does anyone here know the part numbers for the Genuine Nissan 350Z Single DIN radio compartment parts? I dont want to buy one of the crappy aftermarket plastic kits off eBay, ideally I want the proper Nissan parts.

The parts that I think I will need to buy are the metal brackets LH and RH, and the plastic pocket to fit under the single DIN H/U.

Pics below of the genuine single DIN unit in 3 different cars in Japan:

I have owned Toyota's for the last 6 years and on the Toyota EPC all of the different options for the stereo pockets, brackets etc are shown, but not sure if this is the case for Nissan's EPC at the dealers? My local dealers are no particularly helpful...

If anyone here has a copy of the Nissan EPC and can try to find the numbers for all the parts that would be a great help.

Thanks in anticipation,

Jon

didn't know there was a 'genuine' one as I thought stock was double. I got mine through Crutchfield. Looks fine. See for yourself.

yeah, i have the metra kit as well, and it looks pretty close to the ones in your pictures, but the pocket is bowed out in the front to match the curve of the dash... i think it looks pretty nice.

Ok thanks for the replies so far.

Its just that the aftermarket kits that I have experience of are usually quite poor and end up rattling and creeking!

So is there no way to find the part numbers for these items on the Nissan parts system in the dealers? You have to be in Japan to get your hands on the Genuine Single Din fascia?

Thanks,

Jon

You won't be able to order through a US dealer. The best place would either be an online JDM source that can obtain rare parts on special order, like www.japanparts.com, or a source in Japan. Good luck!

That looks like a standard pocket you can buy at any Autobacs in Japan. It will screw into the factory brackets that you will take off your Double Din.

Check this one out.

I used one just like it in my R32, the only bad thing about this and the factory one is that you cannot use the trim ring that the aftermarket single DIN headunit comes with. They are both made to be used with factory style decks , that dont have the outer trim rings.

Yeah, that pocket is made by Metra as well. There's gotta be a way to get a hold of the factory single/ w pocket. Would it match the texture of the Z's dash? That'd be sweet.
