Default eyelid

does anyone know long-term effects of placing eyelids on the lights?
let's face it, HID's aren't cheap, and even though the look is neat, I don't want issues of cracking down the road.

Experience with eyelids???? anyone?

don't know how long your definition of long-term is, but I've had AUT eyelids on my car for 6 months, and no issues so far.

Pardon my ignorance but how do eyelids affect a light? I'm wondering cuz I'm thinking about going that route in a couple weeks...

Not sure about others, but the AUT style eyelids do not interfere with light output in any way.
