Default Seibon Super Dry....Insider Info!!!

There's been a few rumors around about the upcoming release of the dry carbon components coming from Seibon. This is all very exciting news, so go Coinstar your loose change, sell your old parts, break up with your girlfriends, and get a second job, because this stuff is HARDCORE!!! Here is a little more info to get you drooling:

- These dry carbon components are produced through a autoclave process.
- Estimated retail prices: Hood $2800, Hatch $2800, Doors (pair) $4500, Fenders (pair) $2300.
- First batch of dry carbon pieces will have a light gloss clear coat, but production will consist of matte clear coat. Non-clear coated can be ordered to shave off those pesky last ounces.
- Fenders will not have a vent.
- Chris Forsberg and Tanner Foust will be rocking some of these pieces pretty soon.
- We will have some of the sample pieces in our hands VERY SOON!!!!

Alright guys, got some pics up, we just got these Pre-production pieces. We are putting up the pics to give you an idea of weight. We will put up pics of fitment as well. The final production pieces will be 1x1 weave and matte clear cloat. They will be nicer in finish, tighter in weave, and lighter in weight. Give us your feedback. Here is a the weight of the fender, door, and hood.

Should I make a thread too? I feel so left out

Great pieces but no need for two threads. Also pricing is not set in stone yet nor is there an ETA.

I think you can see the fenders at least from some of the SEMA pics.....the rear fender looks exactly Do-Luckish......

The real question is, will these fenders be available in standard "wet" cf, and fiberglass options?

More important for me is that latter option.

Thanks for the info..

^ Agree 100%... The masses have demanded an unvented CF fender for some time now. Will Seibon deliver?

(yes I am aware carbon creations made one. And by all accounts they fit like ***)

We didn't want to intrude on anyone else's thread, so we thought it would be better to just throw whatever info we had on a new thread.

True, MSRP is not set in stone yet, but we will have the sample pieces in our hands in a few days, so we will have a more solid price structure at that time.

Pictures will be put up soon......

The front NON-vented fender will be available in wet cf in the future. It also looks like the rear fender will be available only in dry carbon for the moment.

Yeah, definitely not for everyone. But the quality of the components is superb, especially when the components are made through an autoclave process.

haha....no doubt. I've got a computer bot sitting here in the office that notifies me to whenever someone mentions the words Do-Luck and fenders on the forums.

Sorry for the confusion, the fenders I was referring to are the ones made through the autoclave process but will not be offered with a gloss coat (wet style).

Do you know if this would be the 2x2 or 1x1 weave? Or if it could be an option....

Please say 1x1, please say 1x1, please say 1x1.........
