Yeah I know it looks better then the 03 grill thats why I was asking if it would fit on a 03. There's a black one here at work with the 2 rails and it's silver/chrome look.

See this is a close up

actually the stock grill comes in more of a dark greyish color. not really black. atleast the one that came on my black 06. i guess it could be different color for different color z's but im not sure.

to op, just get a stock 06 bumper. have no idea if the grills are interchangeable. i would dought it since the bumpers are a little different from older models.

Hard to tell from the photos but, is it possible that the bright front edge is self-adhesive chrome door edge guard that is available @ pep boys cheap? Lots of '03-'05 owners have experimented with it, w/ mixed results and mixed reviews. Possible?
If it is, maybe you could do the 2 bright bars that you like, keep one dark, and achieve the same visual effect w/o modding in a new grille that will still appear black w/o some edging.

I tried it, too. Didn't like it. Removal was simple and I was out, I think, 8$.

Just the lip of the grill is grey/silver the rest is black. and it's not a door edging stuff cause I seen one and touched it.

LOL! Yes, that is the stock '06+ grill. It has a nice metallic gray coat on it (same for ALL colors) and no, it isn't just on the lip, the ENTIRE grill is the same color. The angle of that photo is reflecting light off the edges and making them look shiny.

No, it will not fit an '03 without modification. You'd be better off just switching your bumper with an '06 bumper.
