oem front grill remove?

Default oem front grill remove?

hey whats up everyone. i was wondering if anyone has removed the front grill off their oem bumpers. i would think it would give a cleaner look.

You can do it, but a giant hole will look a lot worse than OEM, IMO. It isn't a one piece grill though; each bar is held onto a skeleton structure (frame) behind it with tabs. You could conceivably remove all three on your '04 without taking off the bumper. But then you will need to cut off the frame as well. Making the end result look clean would be a bit tough.

It'll look bad unless you have a large oil cooler or inner cooler behind it. Otherwise all you'll see is the chipped up raggedy OEM radiator and power steering pump. -2cents-

it was just a thought cause i have seen some front bumpers come with no grill.
maybe with a front lip it might look a little better

I see what you're saying. Only thing about after market bumpers vs. OEM bumpers, is they give it a new look which takes focus away from the inner workings of the scoop area. A lip would make it look better, but I still stand by my opinion...

I removed mine and installed an after-market grill that I had powder-coated black. Looks much cleaner.
