Default *PICS* Freshly Painted Gloss Black Door Handles!

New pic on PAGE 2

----------------

Hey guys!

I have seen quite a few posts with questions regarding door handles and I just wanted to let you guys see what my buddy Drew (icedoutis) and myself had in store for ours.

Drew knew a professional painter who works for Barrier Motor & Park Place LTD (big luxury car dealership in Seattle) and was able to get a deal on getting our door handles painted. At first I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it is AMAZING! The painter is super good and he painted them inside out.

Some info: The handles are plastic and needs sanding and prep before painting or the paint will not apply well - hence it's a hard DIY at home job and requires professional painting. The paint used is Gloss Black (not sure what color code) but it is very deep and flows well with the gloss black of my Work Meister S1.

Here are uninstalled pics: Drew and I will work on getting them onto my car soon - his car will have to wait because he's getting an APS TT install from World One -> which you can see in this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/north-west/315356-icedoutis-aps-tt-build-up-photo-thread.html

Shiny!

Deep Glossy Finish!

No orange peel! And look at that reflection!

Thanks guys I wasn't sure how it'd look but it turns out much better than I expected! We're waiting for the paint to completely cure. I'll get them on in 1-2 days.

As for pricing it shouldn't be too bad since they're small pieces. I would say around than $80ish for most painters to prep and paint these. If you think about it that's a great price considering the only other option - which is a crappy one - is to get those ugly carbon fiber overlays that doesn't cover everything and shows the silver under the overlays and even those costs $55 shipped.

This is a much better and more classy solution for those who don't prefer the aluminum like finish of the door handles or just simply a bit bored with it.

How will the paint hold up with constant opening/closing from fingers?
