Default Headlight assembly question

Hi all. I searched but could not find the answer to my question.

I just bought a 2003 350Z Touring, with HID's. The headlights work fine, but the exterior covers on the front are fogged up. It's not fog, but that's what it looks like. It's irritating me, and i was wondering if I can clean it, or buy just replacement covers for it, or am I screwed and need an all-new assembly?

There is nothing else wrong, it's just the front plastic piece, where I have circled in the pic...

Thanks for your help.

Likely just a suffed up lens. You can polish it out with a good paint or glass polish or have a good detailer do it for you.

If it is fog indeed, you have a moisture leak in the seal and once it dries out in the heat, remove the lights from the car and reseal them.

If there were a leak you would be seeing more condensation rather than "fog". You can sand down with a very high grit wet sandpaper and then buff it using some PlastiX and it will look new.

Sand down the outside or the inside?

Because it looks like its on the inside.

Fog is misleading, but its the best term I can use. I think it's simply age of the headlamps.
