Not really new, been out for about 6 months
If your referring to the 1/2 kit and the full kit...
Haven't seen any in the US yet, so I guess you can say they are new to us

I have the full kit on order.

Where are you getting the kit from? Speed Alliance have 3 1/2 kits, and 3 full kits on order. Arriving June 16th to Long Beach, then whenever customs clears the packages. It will be to the shop the next day in San Diego. Speed Alliance is the only authorized dealer for VERTEX in the U.S. Check them out at the D1 Grand Prix on August 31, 2003 at Irwindale, Ca. or go to www.speedalliance.com

These kits are made for Drifting. I think these kits are very high quality. 4 out of the 16 D1 Grand Prix drivers are using Vertex Kits on there cars. I'll try to find you the half kit to see what you think.

I like Vertex kits, but I dont think theres such thing as a kit made for drifting...most drift cars have broken front and rear bumpers anyways from hitting walls and such.

You just have to try it. It's a big adrenaline rush. Plus I do it around cones only. Not at the real track. Not good enough yet.
