I have searched and it seems like most have broken the p.o.s slide out cup holder in the dash or have had it pull out. My cup holder slides out fine and doesn't pull out however it just doesn't click back into place when I push it back in. Any ideas on how to fix this? Why does the build quality suck so bad on these cars? My 200K 10 year old Acura has less rattles and build quality issues. To think I passed on buying a Corvette to avoid these problems Thanks for any advice!

 

just happened to mine to. itll come out, and when i push it in, it wont lock, but rather pop out a bit. its a hassle!

 

Yeah mine just did it last night, now I have to explain this to everyone who rides in my car who tries to push it back in. How embarrassing! Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

+1 help us out, 350z400rwhp, im taking out my lower dash probably this or next week when i install my utec, so ill have a good look at it. i believe it is a plastic stud on the cupholder that either broke off or isnt catching, hence letting it poke out. its really stupid lol

 

Yeah...sucks for the older Zs with the pull out cup holders. I think that is such crap. Glad they fixed that up starting in 06.

Well I just went out and looked at and tried to get it to shut again. I ended up pushing it in kinda hard and it seemed to shift back into the dash about a 1/4" and now it clicks shut and opens and closes fine. So I might of pulled out on it when I had it out to hold my drink and the whole mechanism was out a little bit. Weird but it works now.
