Default Searching for Aluminum Track Mat

I have been searching hi and lo and only found a German Company who makes them for Porche. Was wondering if anyone knows of a place were I can order a pair of Track Mats in Aluminum. Below is an exact picture of what I'm looking for. I'm pretty sure once you see this I'm not going to be the only 1 intrested in these mats.

Why not. Looks cool and and better for driving when driving stick. Co-Worker has them in his cayman s, and your feet slide better. Also I love the brushed aluminum.

I used to have a set (not exactly like this) but your feet would slide and squeak like crazy when it was raining. The guy who used to make them custom for the 350Z went by Wadd3456 on this site and on 350ZFrenzy.

Here is a thread with pics of mine:

For quick shifting. They call them Track Mats for a reason.

well I've been racing since I was 17 (so 1 year shy of half my life) and those are not "track mats" (perhaps thats what whomever made them called them, but it's not at all accurate. A Track Mat is a mat or cushion you put under your car to work on it while at the track so you don't have to lay in the grass or on the dirt/gravel. You would never even be allowed to use what you pictured at a track unless it was permenantly riveted to the car, because its unsafe in the event of a collission.

These are what track mats are:

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/2577...Track-Mat.html

Mats won't help you shift quicker either. Race cars don't have carpets for a reason, but its got nothing to do with shifting - it's got to do with weight, and the fact that carpets are potentially flamable

If you like how they look, that's cool, just don't delude yourself into them doing anything other than looking different

But no, I've never seen anyone make them - best bet would be to make them yourself out of aluminum or sheet metal

Thanks. But I'm pretty sure they can be used for track. Like I said I have a co-worker here who uses it for track when he goes to limerock every chance he gets. He keeps raving about it, and am wondering if they make it for the 350Z. While I appreciate your opinion and expertise, I still like the way it looks.
