looks so good! You should post some more angles, mostly because I want more looks at that wing! I am in the middle of trying what to do with wing/kit for my 07!

Very nice! I really like how it turned out.
I would destroy that paint in one track session.
My hat goes off to you, being different and being committed

the dulling agent (talcum powder) takes away some of the paints integrity and makes it not quite as strong. staining can also be a prob if chemicals get spilled on it. wax or tire shines can leave marks too.
i did my wheels in satin black, but i used an acrylic enamel then added dulling agent to that instead of dulling the clear.
your paint will get quite abit stronger over the next couple months (or in the spring when it really warms up) then scratches and staining will not be nearly as much of a problem. i baked my wheels after painting them to do a faster cure and seal them up.

Looks good. Glad you got the tint done and wing. From the previous pics, it looked like something was missing. I can't wait to see the coilover "slammed pics". Now about those wheels.......

Just a thought but i put a light tint on my headlights, tails, reflectors and reverses and it think it kinda brought the all black theme together. Would be happy to take pics if your interested but its a cheap mod and adds to the all black theme. Oh and btw the tint on the headlights does cut down some visablity but its manageable.

Looks like rattle-can primer to me... Would look okay as a track car I guess.

Looks good. I would put some minor graphics to allow the eye to flow from the rear to the front. Our cars seem to bulky and undefined with flat paints. The S15 and exotics shown have a natural shape that works well with flat paints.

I would do Nismo style lines in charcoal and dark gray tones for a ghost type sequence. That way it doesnt take away from the awesome paint job!

nice, though i think it might've been better if you left the door handle unpainted...it's still a satin finish, and it matches well with the polished lips on your wheels.

can't wait to see some high res pics.

^^^ I agree on the door handles. They would look great stock. I would get rid of those wheels and go with some flat black wheels. I think it would look better stock with all the badges and **** too. This is just my opinion... I really dig the New paint job. Props!

BASF isn't bad, but expect to use a good amount of clear, lol

My '03 is in the body shop right now. I am going for more of a semi gloss like the benz in post 102, best looking flat/matte/semi black imho I have seen yet. I have the bronze nismo wheels I hope will go with it. If not they will be changed too. I will try to keep this thread going with pics of mine as well.

Looks nice. You have to commit to the satin look for everything on the car, to avoid having some things that are glossy and some that are flat, which makes the flat parts look like the product of a rattle can finish. I actually think a different wheel setup would help tremendously, like maybe work cr-kai's or te37's custom painted some flat color.

My car is now being stripped down and disassembled. Should be done in about 3 weeks.

I was actually going to try to add some gloss black to it for contrast.

for ex: Progress on my Satin/flat Black Paint Job-white-350.jpg

painting the mouth gloss black, and the door handles.
