only thing carbon fiber i'm keeping on is my hood, my varis air induct, and the center part of my lip.
I don't really want too much carbon fiber on there, my door handles are getting done in the satin black too, my rims are matte black vold sf challenges. So i can't wait. yep yep long awaited paint job man, i been wanting to do this since last year. But i'll post pics when the finished outcome is up and ready. I just want it to look clean and not too much stuff going on, kinda simple........
But thanks for the comments guys...

I've been thinking about for about 4 months now, BUT.....I also want to trade the car in for a G37 next year so why spend the money on the paint job now.......
I actually called a local shop i get paint from to order a PINT only of matte charcoal grey along with the clear, flating agent and so forth to practice with, I've never messed around with matte finishes yet.
80.00 $$$ just for the pint kit![](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon11.gif)

Thats not cheap but thats a lot cheaper then the rainbow paint. My dads friend had his truck done with color changing ghost flames said it cost him $300 for about 3 oz of this paint. There's other paint out there that probably costs as much but anyways.
to the Op i can't wait to see how this looks on a Z.

Im so confused. Dont understand why you would take a nice looking car and make it look like some spray painted *** honda civic that i see everyday. I really dont get these flat paint jobs at all. To each his own i guess.

dude, this ain't no cheap spray can honda civic job man.....and i guarantee if you put my car next to what you see on the honda civics everyday, there's gonna be a huge difference lol.
but it's alright though man, i'm doing this for me, not for anyone else, i'm doing this cuz i wanted to do this for a while. People have there own opinions man, that's what makes us different from eachother.
Lol it's all good man i respect ur opinion. Cuz it's a color that has to grow on you, it had to grown on me when i first saw it. I was like wtf LOL and i know i'm going to get that look when it's finished from people. But PPW is just so hard to color match when ur getting aftermarket body parts..........boy is it hard........

Well, I looked and the best I can find is a matte silver on a Sti and a GTi. I've been toying with this idea for a while now, I wish I could see it on a Z first though.
