I like my Tommy Kiara **** , but I'd say my second favorite **** is the EVO-R.
Just my opinion, but the round **** doesn't cut it for me. I just think it'd feel awkward shifting with it without a base. It'd be right up against the shift boot, blocking your fingers from griping under it. (without a base, obviously)
The Tommy **** is round on top, but has a small curved neck which makes holding/shifting with it very comfortable.

I never get these threads -- there are so many of them.
One is a lever-type, and one is a ball-type. Most people are not going to find both comfortable...
I have the evo-r, because I prefer a lever type shift ****... a better comparison would be evo-r verses forged.
This is apples and oranges -- go put your hand on both and decide which type of person you are.
