Check this out!!!
This may be the next Nissan sports car to hit the market in the next couple of years, The GTR-Nissan. Protocal of the Nissan skyline. Also my Dad is the a dealer in southern CA, at Empire Nissan the #4 ranked dealer in all of So Cal, and he told me that the next model Z that comes out for 04' will have 340 HP, possible V8 engine and will be a bad *** ride.

I am pretty sure that pic is the old Skyline concept car. Now, its called the G35 Coupe and sold under Infinity here in the U.S. In the JDM, it is sold under the Skyline badge. You can definitely see the same rear 3/4, just different tail lights. I personally wish they would have stayed with the round ones myself.

Nissan has yet to release any TRUE information on any changes for the Z other then the removal of the color Brickyard. Nissan has yet to decide how they will tweak the engine for a supercharged or turbo engine. I know this information cause my dad too is with nissan.
The v8 engine with 300+ horses has been developed to come out in the Armada the new Nissan super big SUV and the Titan, the full size pick-up truck.

ok the Z just came out i seriously dout they will stuff a new v8 in the car ...the car was built for the v6 and its balanced for it...so the only real option is turbo charging...
i saw a turbo version because if anyone remembers car&driver interviews Nissan Development way before the Z came out and the team was saying that they are working ona turbo version for a later release...

Again with some rumors, but rumors that go along with the original post. When I took a Z for a test drive, the salesman and I got talking about next years line, and according to him, most of Nissan is getting a power upgrade to a v8? He mentioned the Titan and something else by name, he wasn't sure about the Z. Prehaps Nissan is powering up their entire line? Just a thought. Would be nice...and is nice to dream
there is no dout they are making a V8 but i dout they will stuff it into a Z next year...it doesnt seem practical for the Z ... but if they do! **** that will be crazy! then again cost 5grand more than normal...
as much as I wanna see a v8, or more powerful Z...i really don't...i just got this thing like 4 weeks ago...i'd be pissed if they came out w/ a faster one so soon...
p.s. i doubt anything's gonna change as far as performance for at least a couple years

Nissan has no plans for a TT until 2005 at the earliest. And stuffing a V8 in there, please, it can barely fit the V6. That is the concept of the new Skyline, here are some more pics of "concepts":
