What exactly should be happening?
Are they supposed to give you some sort of "ticket" or whatever?
idk if there are "laws" about this stuff.

No they fix it, thats all they have to do, they really don't even half to call you, so you should check in, most likely it will take forever for something simple to get fixed because there work load will be so much, could take a month to get a bumper replaced, lol...hell took 6 months after I dropped my old car off for them to finally fix it. Basically bodyshops take forever just be ready.

oh haha yea those kinds yea i bet lol.
this is a custom body shop that only works on like 2-3 cars at a time at most.
i just dont want my new Z get taken away to a chop shop and then the authorities ask me "where is your proof of dropping off the car at this shop" or whatever.

If you're going through it as a customer, it will be as quick as possible.
If you're going through a family friend, it will take FOREVER.

A good body shop is worth it's weight in gold. I went to one in May of 07, went to check on it, nothing had been done, but they didn't know about a little thing called boost recall on my gauges. Bastards had taken it for a joy ride and not done any work.

Needless to say I went to a different shop.

hell yea i hate that!
Im going to give this shop my valet key so they cannot take it out for a joy ride. I had a shop here take my little slow 160hp mazda3 for a joyride just because it had a kit/rims/etc on it! im sure they were disappointed but still.. they put on like 26 miles. -_-

Meh. My Z was in the shop for over 6 months. Mainly due to me changing kits on them 5 times... ...he doesn't want to work on my car ever again. lol

Its best to go and follow up in person. That way you can see for yourself whats going on.
