I been out sick with the flu, but im going to try to work on it this weekend. Im going to try and wire it up too. So far the paddles seem to be good, and not in the way of hands and wiper/light controllers. I got the right side case half way done, still need to tweek it to fit.

Hell yeah I want this! I love paddle shifters! Count me in on this... I'm scared of wiring so any adapters to make it just a quick plug-n-play would be critical for me.

As for delay, I don't see how this can be guys... There is already a delay with the shifter, the paddles should be exactly the same.

The paddles dont move with the wheel do they? That could be a problem with autocrossing...

they do move I believe........some people say you can get rid of some of the delay by ground the trans with a heavier gauge wire??? How does this sound could it work???

Dont worry if i produce this, it will have the plug-n-play connectors.
There isnt any more delay then the oem, since im not using any relays and other electronics, as the switchs in my paddles are the same ones using in the oem shifter. The paddles do not move with the wheel, as like on some high end sports cars.

My only concern of course like others mentioned is the clearance between the wheel and the turn indicator and wiper operation stalk. You don't want the paddles too close to the wheel, but you don't want it too far away either.

Cant wait to see where this goes...

No worries, i already have them mounted and been dry testing them before i wire them up. So far, the clearance is good. Ill test it with some Lamb skin gloves i have. Today ill be wiring them up, got my wire diagram worked out lastnight.

Cool... They easy to operate with your thumbs over the top of the horizontal wheel spoke?

Would these be made out of aluminum? Don't want them to be flmsy and break easilly.

I would love to be one of the first to buy... How easy would it be to install? Just remove the wheel and place the paddles then re-attach the wheel? Will there be any cutting or modifying anything to get them to fit?

Would definately make performance driving easier since you don't have to take your hands off the wheel.

OP stated they don't move with the wheel. Yes, it can be an issue. If you are making a turn & would like to shift, it can be awkward. For autocross, it should not be an issue. Most of the time, you're on 2nd gear anyway.

They operate with your index and or middle fingures, no thumbs. They are a lever action paddle, not a button style like you see on the lexus and others. They operate above the horizontal wheel spokes and not below.

My proto type is made out of steel, but the final units will be made out of aluminum, same with the switch unit.

So far there wont be any cutting of the oem plastic housing, but there with be couple holes to drill to attach and feed the wires thought. You wont have to remove the wheel, just the lower plastic part of the column.

After im done this this, i will have to draw up my plans for the paddles (im building from memory)

Im off to connect my wire harness to the oem wires. I got a late start today as i was out dancing lastnight tell 12am.

Is it smooth . . . feels like OEM? I can't wait for your thorough review of your product. Definitely much better than the other product, which requires you to remove your stock wheel. I assume we'll be able to retain cruise & radio controls, correct?

Very interested.
Any potential issues for those of us with valve body upgrades? (can't think how there could be, but just wanted to make sure!)

Guys the only thing this would do is tap into the wiring for the manual shift gate, thats it. So you will be able to shift using paddles behind the wheel instead of the shift lever. It wont change speeds of shifting, smoothness, nothing... You still will have to use the shift lever to switch between auto/manual mode and neutral, reverse, and park.

James is there a way you can have an adapter that still allows the shift lever on the right to work at the same time? I'm sure it could be done but I don't know where the wiring is at and if there would be room for a larger adapter to do this.

Looks like I have to jump on the self-list bandwagon here, so...
