My proto-type is going to be hard wired. But IF i do production it will be a bolt on and plugged in harness/adaptor.

Manual Mode is electronic already. There should be no more delay than there already is

I own a 6MT, and don't know that i'd ever go to an AT, but this looks very polished and refined. I'd say that if you do go to production, make the paddles the same color as the steering wheel inserts and you'll have alot more people buying it.

I dont see why there would be an added delay as some people have said. It doenst make sense to me. Its still sending the same electrical signal for an upshift or downshift...so how can relocating the switches affect it? I just dont get it. If its going slower, then somebody did something wrong when designing/building it. I'd just like to know what could cause a delay.
James, when you get it working, give us some feedback about the response time.
Also, just my own suggestion, if you could use paddles that are simliar to the ones on G35's then it'll look pretty OEM.

Are you talking about this kit?
If so, i dont think it will work for the 350z because the paddle shifter switch on the right side is to deep and would hit the key switch on the column. Youd have to mount the unit lower and i think that would not be comfertable. But i might stop by and talk to Jason at Riverside Infinity and check them out since i drive by everyday on the 91
