Hi everyone
Well, I'm gonna try what the title says, paint my z tube. But there's one problem, I dont know what to do. I'm a total space case when it comes to painting so if any one can point me in a good direction & give me some info (Materials? Prep work? Sanding? High heat paint? High heat clear coat?), it would be appreciated. I have no shop, so this will be a garage project, no spray gun (Might buy one to do the engine cover, worth it? Or can I just spray-bomb it?), so a "tool list" would be nice.
Thanks for your time!

(it runs from your air intake box/filter to your intake plenum... its the long black tube on the top of your engine)
Sand it down with some 600 and clean it up real good. Spray a few light coats of adhesion promoter about 5-8 minutes before spraying your base. Wait 10-15 minutes between base coats until it's uniformly painted. Wait 20-25 minutes and spray a light coat of clear. 12-15 minutes and spray a medium-wet coat of clear. 20 minutes and another medium-wet coat of clear.
For something like that you'll be fine to go with rattle can.

Thank you everyone for your input! I'm going to attempt this with an extra z tube as soon as it arrives. I'll post some pics of it within the next couple of weeks hopefully...
