Default can i spray paint my plenum? :)

My plenums off my car at the moment because I'm changing my plugs (too hard to reach with plenum on) and I was curious if it would be possible to spray paint it? I have some semi gloss paint that looks pretty sexeh... Or does it get too hot? Let me know asap!! Lolol

I'm pretty sure it will be way too hot in there and powder coating is the way to go if you want to go that route.

Some high heat paint may work - I'm not sure. They sell spray paint for BBQ grills at Home Depot.

Some 1400 temp spray should be fine. However, I think a spray painted plenum would look crappy though.

Wouldn't automotive paint (Acrylic Urethane) work well?

This is what I plan on doing this spring, along with painting the front grill black again.

No but really... On my old Celica, most of the under-hood components were painted with an Anodized Blue paint. Looked good until gasoline got on it
