Fiberglass will crack easier, but easier to repair.

Most authentic kits only come in fiberglass or hybrid.

urethane is almost always the way to go. Its more expenisve and harder to paint but it will take a huge amount of abuse unlike fiberglass. It will bend and flex and wont lose its shape. Fiberglass is easier to repair, but you shouldnt have to repair urethane for almost any reason

urethane will start to sag over time.

not all frp composites are brittle ... buy quality pieces. my current bumper has been on the car about 5 years. i have hit parking stops/curbs - it's been pretty abused in it's life and i've never had issues with it as a result of my abuse.

it has been repaired once. an 18 wheeler shed a tire at 80mph in front of me; direct hit, it pulled the bumper down and broke most of the mounting points. at the speed it doesnt matter what the material is - it would have broken. the nice thing with fiberglass is that it's easy to work with and i was able to repair it myself.
