For those with duct and no templete.
I posted this on another Z site and thought I'd post it here to, since I love you guys so much.....
I bought a Non carbon duct for my car and i didn't like/trust the templete that came with mine, so i made my own templete.
It's really easy to make your own templete.
I used the cover from an old phonebook to trace on. Use some kind of paper that is a little firm, like the above, works better than binder paper.
Place the duct face down on the paper, so the pointed cone part is facing up, like a carbon pyramid LOL, intake hole/inlet facing down on the paper.
Trace the shape onto the paper. Cut out the traced shape. You now have the exact outer dimensions of your duct. This will allow you to position it perfectlly and gives you a perfect idea of what it will look like on the car.
Now just cut a hole in the templete to about the size you think it should be but start out small and make bigger as needed, until it's big enough to fit the duct.
