Default z keys need an extra one

Need an extra key for remote start, do the nissan keys have chips or can i just go to anyplace that makes them and get one made?

They have chips. Be ready to spend over $100 for a new key/keyfob

Check E-bay I just got one for $15ish shipped with the chip and it works fine. Ofcourse you still need to take it to the dealer to have it programmed.

keep searching on here...

if you have two of the original keys, you can do some weird turn the car on, then off with the first key. then on and off with the second key...then lastly, put in the third (blank key) and turn the car on! and it will program the third newly purchased key.

i might be off a bit, but search!
