Can't tell you about a loom, but if your loking for the lighting relays/fuses they are on the EPDM ( Electronic Power Distribution Module - Nissan speak ) thats behind/beside the battery. Don't junk this, its a network based controller ( CAN ) and probably would need a personal loan to replace.

Also a bit concerned about the temperature impact of large halogens - but they probably wouldnt be on for really long periods, but if they were........

Good post OLD , we all have our preferences, personally I prefer 6000K Bulbs , like I stated in my previous post they are not as bright as the 4300K ones , for me they create enough lighting on the road to satisfy me and that little touch of purple is why I did it for otherwise no need to install higher rated Bulbs .

nello...

I am looking for the brightness...super white or as close as possible.

Have you heard anything regarding the Philips D2R 5000K ? These were supposed to be coming out.

judge> Its all gravy, I take no offense on the name. Regarding bulb wattage, I think its safe to say the Z headlamp can easily handle an 80W high-beam bulb. Since I've taken apart these headlamps numerous times, I did notice that the lamps can handle a fair amount of heat and have a lot of air to work with. As long as you dont take a "road trip" with your high-beams on, I cant imagine the lamp getting over-heated. But then again, if you need your high-beams on THAT long, it would be a good idea to go with HID -- as unrealistic and expensive it may be, its more efficient while generating less heat.

redzed> Actually, you dont need to tap into any circuit to setup an additional relay harness for the high-beams. All you need to do is use the high-beam signal to trigger the relay. The relay will get power directly from the battery and send it to the bulbs -- wallah, instant power, maximum current = maximum respect, booyakasha!

Nello> Its all good, everyone has their preferences indeed. I just think its important people know the truth on the forums. I cant stand hearing people advertise their high 'k' bulbs as AMAZING. These are the type of people who install mods and claim they are ALL better in stock, with no clue as to what they are buying. Buyer beware, thats all. I've had higher k bulbs too, I enjoyed having a different look.. but that all got tired quite quickly. I now run standard bulbs -- wow, I am SO boring.
