Okay i need some help! Designing a bracket for my harness bar!

Question Okay i need some help! Designing a bracket for my harness bar!

Basically my harness bar came without the "U" brackets needed to mount the rear support bars.

Now instead of standard U brackets I have started thinking about something unique yet asthectically pleasing. I came across the idea of using a threaded rod (or allen head bolts) and a treaded CLEVIS style rod end to support the harness bar uprights.

Something like this:





By using a threaded rod (or allen head bolt) I can eliminate worrying about getting a clevis rod end that is wide enough to fit a bolt head that could lead to a loose fitting harness bar upright.


Basically here is where i need your help:

I do not have my car infront of me so i cannot make a measurement myself. I am buying these parts ahead of time because i have absolutely ZERO time to finish my car for this this weekend as soon as it arrives.

I need to know what the length, diameter and thread pitch of the silver bolt that holds this U bracket to the child seats anchor point in the following picture is:



Knowing how limited parts are in a certain pitch and diameter I will also buy the appropriate tap and rethread the child anchor bolt hole to accommodate my design.



PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Or someone can just sell me a used roll bar and make my life that much easier

the passenger side bolt that you have pictured above is M8X1.25.

but im trying to figure out the drivers side??? did you ever figure it out?

I ended up drilling a hole and tapped. it as a 10x1.25
And then i ended up just getting a kirk roll bar instead
