Wondering what percent tint would be the darkest with still being able to get a good clear few of the street and everything at night for the headlights and darkest you can go on taillights while still being able to see the light come threw when there on. ( for the tails i would like them to look pretty much black during the day with out that red still shinning threw but not sure if thats just a show car look or is it realistic for being able to drive with that. Any way thanx for those who care to help with tint percentages for either. Thanx

You can go pretty dark on your tails, but please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't tint your headlights! It's bad enough when you see the yellow tint, but if you intend to tint you headlights in the same fashion as your tails, you're going to be kicking yourself in the nuts later. Maybe use an overlay or something and just see if you like it? I think "Bat" might be able to help you out with that. Or try painting the insides.... Just no tint ok

+1 to painting headlights or getting the headlight mods. They look sick!

My 6/10 tint fror the tails is about 20%. Reflectors are still visible . I personally like the lighter 3/10 which is about 55% for the front. Hardly any decrease in light output, but with my 6/10, about 15%.

^^ Hmmm.. That doesn't look so bad? That's tint then, or an overlay? Anyway, nicely done Bat.

do defintly dont want the yellow look on the lights..i just want them darker i dont want the chrome i would prefer the blacked out housing but i have an 04 and you need to leave the area around the light chrome so its not fully blacked out..i mean i might still go with the partial painted housing but im not sure how it would look on the car..ive seen pics of them but no pics of them actually on the car completed..so still lil ifffy about doing it.

just did a quick trial to see how it would come out with the tint suggestions havnt tried the tails yet becasue i need to purchase some tint for the tails..but my friend had some laying around from doing his headlights so we gave it a shot...yeh or neh? i mean it was free so i wouldnt mind taking it off if it looks gross..but idk doesnt look to bad but i havnt decided yet. the painted housing IMO looks alot better but not sure on the partial painted for the 04 lights because i havnt seen them like i posted in the last post..but at least i have an idea with one of the options now with this tint..what do u think?

Ehh... You know, i'm just not a big fan of dimming your already too dim HID's. I mean, blacking out your brights is one thing (for those that paint the insides of the 03-05), but messing with your driving lights just isn't my cup of tea. Doesn't look SOOOO bad I guess, but the negative is out doing the positive from where I sit. Anyway, good luck to you sir.

My headlights were blacked out on my Z. But I did have eyelids over them.
