Nothing but INFORMATION and in the case that someone doesn't like what someone else did, they get constructive criticism, but never pointless, disrespectful comments. I mean, I can deal with it, it really doesn't bother me, lots of "keyboard warriors" out there... sucks they seem to be attracted to the first 350Z forum I decided to join though, haha.
Anyway, adios.

No need to be like this. You posted pics of a car that looks like it's in the primer stage. If it wasn't finished yet... why post pics?
Wow...didnt realize theres a lot of haters on this forum.
But anyway, to the OP I have been thinking to do Satin/Matt black for a little while now, the matt black s15 inspired to do it and I just wanna do something different.
Get it done! I wanna see the result! Good luck

Snaponbrian, how come your color looks a little too shiney?
that was only a few days out the booth it has flattened some, but thats how I wanted it anyway.
I got mine done right while you were finishing yours. I did the same process of flattening a clear. But like I said I wanted a lil bit more gloss.
looks good though bro, i've always liked the veilside sides man. I'm actually gona paint my whole lip satin black, than my cf vent satin black, and put my stock hood back on, i'm gonna get rid of the carbon fiber looks on my Z. Want a straight look.
Anyone know where i can get some full matte black rims with a matte lip????

Dude...i am sure it will look fine as most "flat" paint jobs require a lot of trial and error on part of the painter. The other thing to remember is that those "show" pictures of the ferrari and M5 are done with professional lighting that is set-up to emphasize the paint job. I would honestly follow your painter's advice and see where that takes you. Afterall you trusted him to paint the car in the first place.
With that being said, if this was MY car, I wouldn't be happy at all. Kind of reminds me of
