no remove the wheel and fender behind the light housing, that should make it much easier to change them

No - no need to. Just take the front wheel off to access the front wheel well liner for removal. There is a "cap" on the back of the headlight housing permitting changeout of the bulb.

you don't "need" to, but it's easier.

Removal of the bumper takes about 5 minutes, so i don't see the big deal in removing it.

Removing bumper has nothing to do with headlight bulbs. I think most of you guys are thinking of reflectors. Those ARE easier to replace with the bumper off the car. Headlight bulbs (HID or not) are immediately accessible once the wheel well liner is removed. Removing the bumper will have zero effect unless the intent is to remove the headlights off the car just to access the bulb. And that piece would be comical!

I dont see why anyone would need to take off the bumper. All is needed is the removal of the inner fender which easily comes off due to plastic plugs.

wow. .i'll make it somewhat easy. The front reflectors can be taken off just by removing the bottom engine cover. no need to remove any bumper. To get the headlight bulbs the easiest way is to remove the wheel and move the wheel well inner lining behind the headlight to get to it. IF you wanna be quick about it and suffer a tad just turn the wheel inward on the side u wanna do and remove the lining just enough to fit your hand threw. I've done it this way just to change the mini parking light bulbs b4. But it may involve some pain this way. Try it at your own risk! haha.

If none of what anyone has said so far makes sense. Then Let a Pro do it!!

1) take off wheel
2) unscrew 2 philips screws in fenderwell
3) pop off 3 push tabs
4) unbolt 2 10mm screws under the bumper (fenderwell side)
5) turn the white cap from 12 to 11 o'clock, pull off
6) turn "metal connector" thing counter clockwise, pull off
7) unlatch the two pins
8) swap bulbs
9) reverse
