I have a SS Enthusiast and it looks sharp. I love the color and I have always had my cars with tinted windows. I live in Florida and it's perfectly legal, but what I can't decide is do I tint or not??? I have had people tell me both ways, but what reasons are there to not tint???

And if I do then what is your opinion on tint? Regular smoke tint or the metalic look on a SS Z?

And what about a nose mask? Colgan bra or factory bra? Anybody have any thoughts?

Looks way better! Just a smooth smoke tint looks best imo. No limo tint - looks ghetto.

 

tint can be very clean.

my suggestion is to go uniform all around; one shade. medium shades to me are typically the cleanest. I prefer 25-35% light transmission. i think when you can't see anything inside at all- that's ghetto (although safe for valuables!). But to me the idea is to just darken the windows, and to be able to rest your arm on the door without it getting sun burned lol.

 

My personal opinion is that the Silverstone color is perfectly matched with the stock tint. Darker doesn't look as good. You might be able to get a good look with some kind of metallic tint, I don't know, but it would have to be just the right match.

If I had to do it over again, I would probably go with a clear bra. My car is 7 months old and the front bumper and especially the lip under the grill is chewed to sh*t. I was thinking about doing it, then waited too long and started getting chips; after that it's too late.

 

1. I used 35% tint all over, enchances looks but not extreme, doe not look modded, just good.

2. This one is important,,,,decide right NOW! Paint chips fast so I highly recommend clear Bra. I got mine on ft bumper only, not noticelable at all! Trust me, I drive up to check other Z before I would put it on my Z, If it looked bad, I would not have done it.

One final note, check clear bra webasites, you must get a certified clear bra insttaller. Everything about clear bra is the install job. Window tineters will have bubbles and you will not be happy. My guy garrantied work and would take off in first 60 days with full refund if i did not like it. That is the kind of deal you are looking for, totally customer satisfaction and a win win deal, if you do nt like it, no harm, no foul..
