Default ground clearance question, hopefully someone has an answer

I already posted this in the 2006 lip thread, but I haven't gotten any responses, and I'd have a better chance if I just make a thread for it, since more people will read this. Anyways, this was what I asked in the other thread:

This might be kind of a long shot, but I'm trying to figure out how much ground clearance I would have with the vs1 lip from EVO-R. I'm lowered on tanabe GF210's, with 18" wheels, and 245/40 tires in the front. If anyone happens to have the same or a similar setup, I would greatly appreciate if you could measure the ground clearance at it's lowest point on the front lip. Or if someone can just tell me how much lower the vs1 is than the stock front at it's lowest point. I want to get the lip, but I don't want to put it on and not be able to get up the driveway when I get home. Thanks for any help you can give.

I have the GF210s on my stock body and I can drive up some serious bumps and driveways and have only lightly scrapped the little black piece on the bottom once. The lip will be about as low as the OEM black piece only further forward meaning it will scrap easier. You will be fine and will make it up some decently steep stuff. If its your daily it surely wont be able to go everywhere anymore.

It is my daily, but I've actually never scraped even the black peice on anything*knock on wood*. I'm more or less trying to figure out if the lip would be just about as low as where the stock front bumper dips down on either far side, but just all the way across the whole bumper instead of just the very sides.

Your car will find a way to scrape somewhere, and its not the best feeling or sound. Compare it to eating something sour.

haha, I'm more than familiar with the lovely sound of scraping. My WRX I had before this car would scrape coming out of driveways all the time. I would just brace myself for the awful sound every time I pulled out of somewhere. I'm getting close to just sucking it up and buying the lip, and I guess I'll just hope for the best once it's here and on the car.
