Default NEW Gauge Pod for the Z!!!

Well I have a new gauge pod for the 350Z!!!!
Holds two 52mm or 2 1/16" gauges. What do you guys think?

Some Carbon Fiber covered ones are in the works...

These fit the 2005 cubby right now but looking to make them for each year... If anyone is in the East Bay area is interested in lending a cubby for test fit it would help!

I also made some blank urethane panels molded to fit the 2005 cubby. In this picture I used the blank panel to hold the my gps and then cut a carbon fiber cover to go over it.

Here is the link to the classified post for prices: https://my350z.com/forum/interior/357947-new-350z-gauge-pod.html

Very nice. Can you do a three-gauge pod?

I tried a three gauge but there wasn't enough room with them side by side without cutting into the cubby..

the OPs look like 60mm pods. The picture you posted is the CF panel I sold cux, and those are for 52mm

that would be mine. Its a triple 52mm i got from TayTay. Its a tight fit. I think you could make a double 60mm, triple might be doable but i dont have 3 60mm gauges to test with.

CiNCity sales those now in the marketplace interior section.

Nice work op. Only thing im worried about is if the gauge has a large face, will it fit in the inset. Love the custom molding.....CF would be bad ***.

Does anyone make a three gauge 52mm version of these?

Not necessarily in CF.

What material would you want? What year is your Z? I have a spare one but I also need to dedicate some time to Cad one up and produce them on my cnc machine.

Sturdy and inexpensive would be my preference. My car is an 06.

Thanks

Never test fitted an 06. I would expect the dimensions to be the same. The main thing on the cubbies that do not retract is that they required some trimming on the inside of the lid near the top.

I'd have no problem trimming. I'd prefer having the two holes on top and the single under.

Thanks

Quick cad showing (3) 52mm gauges in the red box which is the relief area. I measured my gauge faces and got a 56.75 outer ring which is what I will use for minimum spacing. AEM gauges are larger. what gauges are you using?

That looks great.

They are GlowShift. I did this. I'd like a panel to put behind them.

Wow the 06 cubbies are weird. 03-05 are much different.

Let me make one out of wood and send it to you for mock up. Maybe get some dimensions for me?

As you can see in post 7, that is how the plate would work. It brings the gauges to the front.

The cubby i am working with has a flat, bare plastic finish.
