Default Windows went down on their own?

2007 350Z 6mt Touring

I came to my car today and the windows were down and the doors were locked...I left the car with them up and then locked the car with the Key FOB. Came back a couple hrs and the windows are both down. I walked over to the car and checked the door locks and the drivers side door was locked...both windows full down.

After checking the manual it says if you hold down the unlock button you can roll down the windows. OK i tried it and yes it did work. The problem I'm thinking about is that I would have had to PUSH the unlock button long enough in my pocket and bring the windows down then hit the LOCK button...because the doors were locked for sure.

My Fiends Civic used to roll the windows down on its own until he brought it in to the dealer and something was changed.

Has anyone ever heard of this on a 350Z before? It could have been me accidentally pushing the FOB buttons but man its kinda a stretch...I really dont want this to happen again...the driveway was bad on a sunny day...raining or in a parking lot would be brutal!!!

Anyone heard of this before and if so what could possibly be the problem?

BTW I love this car!!!

If the car is left unlocked and was not opened for around a minute, the car will AUTOMATICALLY lock. So you must of pressed unlock by accident and held it until the button was left off. And nobody opened the door so it locked after a minute. You can try this right now. But it happened to me before and I tested it out and I saw the doors automatically lock after a minute.

Ahh OK thats good to know!!! I didnt know the car locks itself...I guess I wont leave the keys in it LOL!!! But it may answer the question for me...I am reading some posts of strange window issues but I'm hoping it was just me hitting unlock on the key FOB...

I remember my driver side window went down by itself, but it was because the motor was going out and it was just acting screwy until I replaced it.

i have a buddy whose windows rolled halfway down anytime the keys were in the ignition and the switches didn't work. He could roll them up by putting hte key in the door and holding it to the lock position, but that was the only way. He fixed it by leaving the battery unhooked overnight. He hasn't had the problem again since then!

The car doors only "lock themselves" if they are unlocked with the keyfob and a door/hatch is not opened within about one minute. You can't lock yourself out - well, at least not that way.

It sucks when its raining and you shut your door an it rolls halfway down.

either get a new motor or get over it like i did

With the NM20 module from www.KPtechnologies.com you can put the windows back up with the remote!

It;s one of the problem with the windows. You need to bring it to the dealer for them to adjust the motor/sensor. This is what happened. You roll your window up all the way. when it rolled all the way up then it will automatcially rolls down 1/2 way. Get it to the dealer so they can adjust it.

I believed it's a TSB/recall thing that they fix free of charge.
