If it's legal or not would be the least of your problems. How are you going to move your head to make turns or lane changes? Might as well put on your Hans device as well.

At least you can crash into merging traffic in style.

I have a Sparco Touring seat in another car of mine thats very similar to this seat, it's red fabric in decent shape. MSRP's for over $800, I'll let it go for $400 if you want it.

I would say get a racing seat that doesnt have those ridiculous head restraints...

they look nicer and are a bit more practical...

unless you're going to drive with a helmet on everywhere you go and you're not worried about changing lanes - its not worth it

but to answer your question, I dont know if a cop would give you trouble about that or not.

Eh... I drove a panel van for a dealership parts department over the summers back when I was in college. I've also driven a T1 Viper with a Racecraft HANS seat on the public roads. If you're good at paying attention to your mirrors, its not that bad. Wouldn't recommend either on a daily commute without a stick-on convex blind spot mirror.

Dear lord, I can't believe this is even a thread.

OP, unless the only public streets your car sees is while its on a trailer being pulled to or from a racetrack, you have no business putting those seats in your car.

It's for road racing not drag racing.
