Default Forged Performance Shift ****: I feel like I have a new gearbox!!!

I bought the shift **** from another member on the board. Thanks Tware for the fast transaction.

Going from the stock rubbery hollow **** to a smaller solid **** made a huge difference in the feel of the shifts. I really feel like my Z has a new gearbox. It is that dramatic of a feel!! No more notchy shifts. My shifts now are much more precise, solid, and faster. Unlike before I sometimes had trouble getting it into a gear. The **** just feels perfect in my hand and I just love holding on to it. It makes shifting much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this shift **** to anyone not happy with the way their gearbox feels.

I know I'm immature, how long have you had it? Does it get really hot after it's been in the sun for a while?

1 day. Hehe Been driving around all day long and I am just loving it. It's been rainy here all day so haven't been able to test it in 90 degree weather.

Nice ****...I was considering this one as well, but I don't feel like draping the shifter with a towel during the summer because it'll get too hot. Either way, congrats on the new ****

This one is not supposed to burn your hand unless it is under extreme conditions.

It is solid billet CNC construction out of 303 stainless steel, polished ... highly corrosive and scratch resistant with excellent thermal property (8-10 times better than aluminum).

Here's a chart showing two physical properties of the metals:

Material ............ Density [g/cm3] ... Thermal Conductivity [W/m-K]
------------------------------------------------------------------
Al alloy (6063) ......... 2.71 ............ 180
Al alloy (2011) ......... 2.82 ............ 138
Ti (alloy) .............. 4.5 - 5.0 ....... 4.8 - 16.3
Stainless Steel (303) ... 8.03 ............ 16.3

I have the same one

I had the Nismo Ti **** before this one- that used to get super hot in the sun... this one.. not as bad, it does get hot, but not to the point where u had to wear gloves to shift!

i think Clint (THX723) made them for Forged...or had something to do with it.

have had this for a while and I agree it did help me alot on my shifts. As far as heat and cold it is minimal. In 95 degree heat and humidity in GA I never have burned my hand when getting in the car.

Ti would look hot. Question for owners of this shift ****....there is no need for a finisher with the **** right? Or is the boot all loose??
