Default 06 to 03 headlight problem

I've done my searching and have asked a few vendors here also with no luck.

Anyway, I recently did a headlight swap. I have an 03 350Z and the car I traded with is an 06 350Z.

Now, his 06 Z now has my 03 headlights. Now his blinkers don't work at all and the running light acts as the blinker and blinks fast.

Can someone please help here.

I have an 05 HID and swapped with an 06 HID both head lights and tail lights. The running lights don't work on the 05 head lights or tail lights in the 06 but the blinkers worked ok. Are both head lights HID?

the pin connectors are different. there is a thread about this somewhere but i can not find it. i know you could put the later model HID into the older HID, but that there was problems with puttign the older lights into the new cars.

Both lights are HIDs.

Zo4- Thats exactly my problem, I know I remember seeing this thread but I thought it was for upgrading not downgrading. Either wayI can't find it.

I'd really like to know as well, since I'll be trading headlights with an 06+ ASAP.

I looked further into this tonight, but didn't get a chance to apply any voltage to the wires to test my theory of what will be the easiest way to do this. I know it's possible, I just need to have the free time I never get to knock it out.

I can check the 05 and 07 lights I have at home.

Worst case he cuts a wire or two and swaps them.

I'd really appreciate the help, I'm really surprised that with all the swaps we do we would have had an answer for this a long time ago. But I guess not too many people go backwards.

Thats backwards from what we're trying to fix here. Theres already threads that have info on your problem. I have 06's and they work fine. Its the guy that took my 03 headlights and put them on his 06 350Z that is having problems.
